F4 Fan Zone - SAVE THE DROP interactive game

For the F4 Fan Zone, we transformed sustainability into an interactive experience through a custom-built game that combined creative technology with playful competition. Using a LiDAR scanner and a real-time application developed in vvvv, we turned a large LED wall into a touch interactive interface, allowing visitors to physically interact with the LED WALL digital content.
Participants raced against the clock to close running taps, stop leaking showers, and eliminate sources of water waste, while educational messages about responsible water consumption appeared throughout the experience. At the end of each session, players discovered how many litres of water they had collectively saved, reinforcing the impact of their actions in a simple, memorable way.
By blending immersive technology, gamification, and environmental storytelling, the installation transformed awareness into participation—proving that meaningful messages are most powerful when people are invited to experience them firsthand.
